In June 2006 the Development Support Partnership (DSP) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Assura Group.

DSP was established by Stuart and Alan Gavurin in 1995. Prior to this, since 1989, Stuart had been running his own primary care consultancy and Alan was a senior health service manager. After they formed DSP it quickly became one of the UK's leading primary care consultancies - specialising in the development of primary premises, strategies and business cases. From its beginning through to 2006, DSP was responsible for the development of over 100 primary care premises. DSP has been active in the development of the NHS LIFT programme since its outset and Alan and Stuart led gbconsortium's successful LIFT bids in Liverpool & Sefton, Barnet, Enfield & Haringey, Coventry and South East Essex for gbprimarycare.

Although no longer trading in its own name, the DSP team has brought its consultancy expertise to the Assura Group where Stuart and Alan, and their colleagues Nikki Hopkins, David Acklam, Stephen Bradley, Wayne Ashton, Elaine Siew, Geoff Plews and Simon Gould are all working as integral members of the Assura Medical and Assura Propery teams.
